Your grade will be determined by dividing the points you earned throughout the marking period by the total points possible.  Check Power School frequently to monitor your progress.  The following formal and informal assessments will be used to calculate your grade: quizzes, tests, projects, Mathia modules, weekly assignments and homework.

  • Quizzes will be given after every two or three lessons.
  • Tests will be given at the end of each unit.
  • Projects and Mathia modules will be assigned throughout each unit.
  • Weekly Assignments will be assigned each Monday or Tuesday and are due on Friday – No exceptions.  Assignments may count as a homework grade, quiz grade or bonus.
  • Homework is given as needed.  Expect homework once or twice a week.  Each homework assignment is graded on completion and is worth 3 points.  You MUST show your work. Late homework will NOT be accepted.

Preparation Grade:

At the beginning of each quarter, you will be given a Preparation Grade of 10 / 10 points.  Each time you come to class unprepared, (i.e. without a pencil, without your binder, needing to go to your locker, etc.) 1 point will be deducted.
